Welcome to the APHL Biomonitoring Database!

Biomonitoring has been a priority at APHL for over a decade. In order to accomplish our vision of a network of biomonitoring programs at the national, state and local levels able to respond to environmental health concerns, APHL developed the Biomonitoring Database. This relates to goal four in APHL’s National Biomonitoring Five-Year Plan: Conducting sound biomonitoring studies is critical to the success of a national network.

Enhancing the science to meet environmental health, public policy and research needs—particularly for state- and community-based programs—will build on the existing body of knowledge and strengthen new and existing programs.

The first phase of database rollout aims to foster collaboration among public health laboratories; future iterations may allow access by other public health entities such as state and local epidemiologists. Members should use the database to search for current capabilities, projects & methods; to post questions to their colleagues and more.

Access to the database is currently limited to APHL members. Please follow this link to enter the Database.
