HIV Testing Algorithms - Status Report 2009
Content - Top Span
The Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) is pleased to announce the publication of “HIV Testing Algorithms: A Status Report.” The report was produced as a collaborative effort between APHL and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is not intended to serve as a recommendation for any of the algorithms presented in the document. From this site you can access the full report, executive summary and schematics of the various algorithms, and provide feedback to the authors.
Additionally, the APHL/CDC HIV Steering Committee is requesting that any laboratory currently using alternative HIV testing algorithms or evaluating the performance of multiple HIV tests share their relevant data so that more definitive guidelines for HIV testing can be developed. Specific data needs are outlined in the Status Report. If your laboratory is willing to share data or has questions about the Status Report, please complete the data questionnaire or contact
hiv.algorithm@aphl.org
. The steering committee also welcomes abstract submissions for the 2010 HIV Diagnostics conference, to be held March 24-26, 2010 in Orlando, FL. For more information, please visit the conference website at
