The Research Agenda drives collection, storage, sharing and utilization of information vital to strengthen public health laboratories. Using the agenda, APHL seeks to leverage historical data from surveys and other research projects to inform laboratory standards and practices, policy and training.
The agenda prioritizes activities identified through an environmental scan of members and stakeholders undertaken early in 2008. The ultimate goal is a data-driven organization where research findings shape both the strategic plan and member activities.
