5th National Conference on
Laboratory Aspects of Tuberculosis

The 5th National Conference on Laboratory Aspects of Tuberculosis will be held at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego, CA from August 11-13, 2008. It will consist of general sessions, breakout sessions, posters and an exhibit hall over the course of 2 ½ days.

The conference will focus on TB drug susceptibility testing (DST) practice and standards for laboratories in the United States. Recommendations from APHL and CDC regarding DST will be discussed. Other topics will include new TB diagnostics including the use of molecular tests and interferon gamma release assays (IGRA), global laboratory implications, and laboratory integration into TB control.

This will be an excellent opportunity to hear the latest on these topics and to network, gain insights and find solutions from colleagues in this challenging field.

Registration fees: Full conference - $250; One Day - $125; and Student - $100. General registration will open in June.
