The nomination period for the 2026 APHL Newborn Screening Awards is now open, and we are excited to honor those individuals in our community who have gone above and beyond to support, strengthen and champion the newborn screening (NBS) system!
If you know a colleague, peer, mentor, friend, or if a family, patient, advocate or individual in your community has gone above and beyond to grow and support the NBS system, please consider submitting a nomination.
It’s time to acknowledge these NBS champions with the following awards:

• Clinician Champion Award in Newborn Screening
• Everyday Life Saver Award in Newborn Screening
• George Cunningham Visionary Award in Newborn Screening
• Harry Hannon Laboratory Improvement Award in Newborn Screening
• Judi Tuerck Newborn Screening Follow-up and Education Award
