The 2009 APHL Annual Meeting and Third State Environmental Laboratory Conference--to be held May 5-8 in Anchorage, AK--will bring together laboratory scientists, governmental officials, corporate representatives and others for four days of intensive sessions on public health laboratory science, practice and policy.
The program will cover the full gamut of topics affecting laboratories in public health: emerging infectious diseases, informatics, food safety, emergency preparedness, newborn screening, environmental health, global health and others.
The meeting will be held at the Egan Civic and Convention Center in downtown Anchorage located less than two blocks from the conference hotel, the Hilton Anchorage. It will offer a varied program format with general, breakout and roundtable sessions; keynote speakers and an exhibit hall.
