About Knowledge Management
The Knowledge Management Committee provides assistance to APHL and its members in the following areas:
- Participate in survey design with members and partner organizations.
- Develop strategies for evaluating the public health laboratory workforce. This includes the Pay and Classification evaluation, survey of location and practices of the local public health laboratory, annual core function survey, annual bioterrorism survey and others as appropriate and needed.
- Engage members in the use of LabNet for completing surveys and viewing data from past surveys.
- Develop strategies for effective consolidation as well as reporting of survey results.
- Provide survey review and approval.
Relevant Strategic Plan Objectives:
- Improve the capability of public health laboratories to capture, process and communicate laboratory information of public health significance.
- Enhance the role of public health laboratories as partners in the collection, analysis and presentation of data.
- Collect, analyze and disseminate data that support and promote the role of public health laboratories.
