The National Laboratory Training Network (NLTN)TM, a joint program of APHL and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has been in existence for over twenty years and develops and delivers education programs for professionals in both public and private sector laboratories. Since its inception, the NLTNTM has provided over 4,700 courses reaching well over 284,000 laboratory professionals. The overall goal of NLTNTM is to strengthen the quality of laboratory practice and the skills of laboratorians performing testing of public health significance. Most NLTNTM courses provide continuing education credits for healthcare professionals.
The NLTNTM develops training products in multiple formats, presented by expert faculty, to address a variety of learners’ preferences, as well as level of training from broad overviews to intricate, step-by-step, detailed testing methods incorporating hands-on practical experiences.
