Interns will join a public health laboratory team assisting scientists working on meaningful projects that monitor and protect the health of local communities.

                 Public Health Laboratory Internship Program: an APHL-CDC Initiative

APHL and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) partner to offer paid laboratory internships to train and prepare college students for careers at public health laboratories. Interns join public health laboratory teams to make an impact on protecting the health of our communities. Interns assist laboratory professionals working on meaningful projects, like detecting genetic disorders in newborn babies, monitoring drinking water, tracking viruses carried by insects and testing soil for environmental toxins.
