​​​​APHL 2020 Has Been Canceled

After much consideration, APHL's Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Annual Conference (APHL ​2020) ​scheduled for June 8-11, 2020, at the Oregon Convention Center. We regret the inconvenience that the cancellation will inevitably cause.

The ongoing spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)​ remains a serious concern for us all, and its implications have substantially affected the logistics of the meeting as well as the work of our members, public health colleagues and corporate partners. The health, safety and well-being of the APHL global community must be our highest priority.​​ Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

​Conferences the size of APHL​'s are planned years in advance in order to accommodate association requirements. Rescheduling is, therefore, not an option. However, APHL is considering alternatives to an in-person meeting, such as a virtual conference or webinars. More information will be provided soon about any virtual presentation opportunities.​​​

Exhibitor and Sponsor Cancellation Questions

​What refunds will APHL provide to exhibitors and sponsors?

APHL will refund in full fees for exhibit booths, ads, Innovate! Sessions and other promotional opportunities paid to the organization directly. As noted above, APHL is considering other means to share key information planned for APHL 2020. Staff will get back to APHL partners with opportunities to participate shortly.

​​As a sustaining member, I receive a complimentary booth at the Annual Conference as a member benefit. Can I transfer that benefit to another APHL conference?

The benefit of a complimentary booth is not transferable to other APHL conferences. While we are unable to hold the 2020 Annual Conference as an in-person event, we are exploring opportunities to virtually share information and provide an opportunity for APHL sustaining members to participate.

​Should I cancel my hotel and airline reservations myself?

Yes, please be sure to cancel your reservations directly with the airline and the hotel. If you have a reservation at the Hyatt Regency Portland Hotel, you may call them at 971.222.1234 or cancel online
