APHL, in partnership with the CDC, has developed a series of free, interactive modules to promote competent, high quality laboratory diagnostics based on the latest testing technology and research. These short modules serve as an excellent introduction to STD diagnostics as well as a refresher for seasoned laboratorians. This set of training modules was fully updated in 2020-2021 to include current best practices, information and recommendations.
Each module is complemented by references and resources for additional learning opportunities. The modules and associated resources are useful tools for anyone interested in learning more about STD testing. Please see below for a list of available modules and descriptions.
